Lower Blepharoplasty

A lower blepharoplasty removes sagging skin and repositions the muscle underneath, giving you a more youthful, well-rested appearance. Often fat grafting is performed along with surgery to fill in under the eye

The Procedure
Both upper and lower eyelid surgery can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation. However, the procedures can be performed under general anesthesia if necessary. The type of anesthesia used during your procedure will be discussed during your consultation. The incisions for both procedures are made in the lash line to hide visible scarring.
Recovery
Recovery from both upper and lower eyelid surgery is typically seven to 10 days. Most patients only experience minimal discomfort with slight swelling, which subsides relatively quickly. Pain medication will be prescribed but often over-the-counter pain medication is all that is needed. Most patients take off from work for a week following their eyelid rejuvenation surgery.
