Preparation
Preparation is a key step for a successful surgical outcome. Patients must stop smoking for at least six weeks before surgery and avoid anti-inflammatory medication or blood thinners for two weeks. A healthy diet and exercise plan will prepare your body for the healing process, ensuring safety and the best possible results. On the day of the procedure, patients should make arrangements for someone to drive them home after surgery.
Back Lift Procedure
Back lifts are performed under general anesthesia and take 2-4 hours, depending on the extent of excess fat and skin being removed. The surgeon marks the targeted areas of excess skin and fat, then makes strategic incisions for tissue removal. The remaining skin is carefully tightened and sutured to achieve a firmer and more aesthetically pleasing back contour. Patients will be moved to a recovery room for a short period of observation and can return home the same day.
Back Lift Recovery
