If you are a reader of the Wall Street Journal, you may have seen a recent article, “Why Tech Bros Are Getting Face-Lifts Now” in the Oct 24, 2025 paper. Cosmetic surgery of all types has been common and accepted for women, but has just recently become more acceptable for men.
The article explains how men in tech want to look younger and more vital in this field dominated by younger people. As Peter Thiel is quoted in the article, “you can’t hire anyone over 30.” Men in this field have real concerns about “aging out” and want to look as young as possible to be taken seriously.
To achieve a more youthful look and go beyond Botox and fillers, a more meaningful procedure is required. This includes rejuvenation of the eyelids, neck, and face. The deep plane facelift is highlighted in the article with several examples of results.
A Beverly Hills surgeon is quoted as charging 125,000-150,000 for this procedure. I had to read that twice before I understood it wasn’t a typo. Even for someone practicing in Beverly Hills (I grew up in California), that is a LOT of money for a facelift. Another doctor is quoted as charging 40,000-65,000 for a face and neck lift. Better, but still well outside the normal range for this procedure in the Washington, DC area.
From experience and over 35 years of practice, I can tell you we can do the same thing for much less in our certified office operating room, safely and discreetly.
If you are considering looking younger and want to know more about what revitalizing your eyes, face, and neck can do for you, please come see me. Our prices are realistic and the results outstanding.
All the Best,
Dr. J
