Qwo®
Conveniently located to serve the areas of Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Cellulite is one of the most difficult cosmetic concerns that many women struggle with. Even though there’s no shortage of products on the market that promise to erase cellulite, it’s rare to find results. One new breakthrough treatment is Qwo®, an injectable designed to smooth cellulite with just a quick and easy injection.
What is Qwo?
Cellulite is a natural byproduct of the way the female body stores fat. In the layers of fat between the skin and deeper tissues, the body creates fibrous bands that hold it all together. When fat presses past these bands, they create resistance that pulls the skin inward and forms dimples on the surface. Qwo is an enzymatic injectable which targets this fibrous tissue that causes the dimpled appearance of cellulite. Once these bands are treated, the result is smoother skin without telltale signs of cellulite.
Why Use Qwo?
Qwo is a first-of-its-kind treatment, meaning it can produce groundbreaking results. There are no other cellulite treatments like it, with noticeable results and virtually no downtime. Although other cellulite treatments exist, they are usually invasive and costly. Many women struggle with the appearance of cellulite, with very few options when it comes to treatment. For most women, even losing weight doesn’t completely get rid of cellulite. With Qwo, you can enjoy a smoother, more sculpted look with only a few quick injections.
Who Should Get Qwo?
Patients who can benefit most from Qwo are those who struggle with the appearance of cellulite in the buttocks. If you have significant skin laxity, you may not be a good candidate and may need to explore other options. In patients of all skin tones, Qwo can cause hyperpigmentation that fades over time. It’s not understood exactly how Qwo treats cellulite through an enzymatic process, so your board-certified plastic surgeon will discuss whether it’s right for you during your consultation.
What Are My Other Options?
Although it can seem tempting to try at-home products for cellulite, it’s very likely that they won’t produce results. That’s because they don’t treat the root cause of cellulite, which is the fibrous bands beneath the skin. Cellulaze™ is one treatment option that can sever these fibrous bands through minimally-invasive surgery. During your consultation with our team, you can discuss which option is best for you and your goals.
Qwo Consultation
Because Qwo is a groundbreaking new treatment, it’s important to have an in-depth consultation with an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon who can provide the most up-to-date information. During your appointment with our team, you’ll discuss your goals, treatment options, and risks when it comes to Qwo. At Cosmetic Surgery Associates, we’re here to answer your questions and partner with you in your cosmetic journey so you can achieve your most confident self yet.
How Are Qwo Treatments Done?
Qwo treatments can be performed right in our comfortable Bethesda office by our trained and experienced injectors. Your appointment begins with a thorough discussion of your goals and questions before we create a customized treatment plan for you. A topical numbing cream is provided, and you’ll relax in our state-of-the-art treatment room. The product is placed in areas of visible cellulite using very fine, precise injections. Once your areas are treated, you can return home.
Recovery Process
You can expect some tenderness and redness at the injection sites after treatment, and this can last for up to two weeks. However, you can return to your regular schedule immediately with detailed instructions on what to avoid. You’ll begin to notice results within about ten weeks of treatment and can return for maintenance treatments as needed – most patients require 3 treatments for best results. With a full treatment package, Qwo produces long-lasting results, making it a great investment in your confidence.
Pricing
Qwo is an exciting new treatment option for cellulite, and you’ll receive a detailed estimate of your costs during your consultation with our team. That’s because your costs can depend on the number of treatments needed, the amount of product needed, and many other factors. To learn more about Qwo and get started on your cosmetic journey, we invite you to contact our Bethesda office by calling or filling out our online form.
