Facelift and Neck Lift

Conveniently located to serve the areas of Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

The desire for a more youthful appearance is common among men and women. The decision to seek a change in your appearance is highly personal and should be made only after you have considered all of the options along with the risks and benefits.

As we age our skin and connective tissue lose elasticity and the shape of our facial features change. We begin to notice a “droop” to our tissues often associated with a loss or displacement of fat that leads to a sagging appearance. A common complaint is “I am starting to look like my mother/father”. A marked improvement can be made by realigning and tightening both the underlying soft tissue and the skin.

In some cases, the addition of soft tissue fillers, skin resurfacing, or an implant can have dramatic effects. For others, surgical neck procedures are the best option. Our office is located just 10 minutes away from North Bethesda & Rockville and 11 minutes away from Potomac.

Our Philosophy

The decision to improve your appearance is highly personal. You want a specific look and a Doctor that understands your concerns and desires.
You want an experienced surgeon with an artistic eye who dwells on details and puts your well being above all else.
Doctor Dean Jabs, Doctor Frank Richards, and Doctor Keshav Magge are those surgeons. Specializing in facial rejuvenation using the latest techniques with the shortest possible incisions and long-acting anesthetics, you will recover faster and be more comfortable in the post-operative period.
When you choose Cosmetic Surgery Associates, you enter into a relationship built on mutual trust and respect. We look forward to seeing you.

The Procedure

The lower facelift combines a neck lift surgery with a facelift to improve loose neck skin and sagging facial tissues. For patients hoping to combine neck contouring with facial rejuvenation, this combined procedure is a great option.

At the initial consultation, your medical history will be taken and we will try to understand what is most important to you. After a brief examination, we will discuss the various options for you to achieve your goals.

(Browlift) Many people notice excess skin in the upper and lower eyelids and attribute this to loss of elasticity. What has often occurred is the eyebrow has become too low and needs to be lifted. This can have a dramatic effect on appearance. Also, at the time it is done, the corrugator (wrinkler) muscles that cause lines between the eyes can be weakened to give a better appearance.

(Blepharoplasty) Sagging and bagging of the lids can be corrected by the judicious removal of fat and skin. The lower lid often requires tightening (canthopexy) to restore a youthful appearance. All of this can be done with minimal incisions.

(Midface lift) The area of tissue beneath the eye down to the
the nasolabial fold can be elevated to restore a youthful roundness to the
face and decrease the fold formed when we smile. This can be performed
through two tiny incisions in the fold itself.

Face and Neck

(Facelift or “Rhytidectomy“, S-lift, Mini-lift) Two of the most obvious areas of facial aging are the cheeks and the neck. Loose skin can create the appearance of a “turkey neck” or double chin. A clear jawline with a smooth neck devoid of sagging skin looks younger. This can be achieved by sculpting the neck with liposuction, tightening the neck muscles and removing excess skin with an “S” shaped incision around the ear. This “mini” or ‘S” lift is very safe, heals quickly and does not look overdone.

Where performed

We prefer to perform surgery in a certified surgery center. Plan on spending 4 to 6 hours from beginning to end. You will need a ride home afterward.

It’s true – facial rejuvenation cannot stop the aging process; however, it can make you appear years younger. Through the removal of excess fat, tightening of underlying muscles, and redraping of facial skin, a facelift and/or neck lift procedure can most definitely “set back the clock.”

Patient Reviews

Every single person in their office makes you feel so welcomed and comfortable the moment you step into the office. The day of my surgery the staff took amazing care of me and went above and beyond to calm my nerves, talk me through it and made it such a great experience. I highly recommend this office, I can’t thank them enough for all that they did for me!

  • Folds and fat deposits around the neck

Your surgery is performed in a precise manner using the latest techniques which include: local anesthesia infiltration of the surgical site to decrease bleeding and pain, and minimal incisions to decrease the appearance of scars. Local anesthesia provides several hours of pain-free recovery while you are awakening from anesthesia. After face and neck lift procedures, swelling and bruising are common for the first 1-2 weeks. Swelling after a neck lift takes time but you should see the final results within a few months.
