Arnica is a homeopathic medicine that helps to reduce bruises, swelling, and pain from surgical procedures or accidental injuries.
Arnica is also known as Arnica Montana is a plant commonly found in the Northwestern parts of the United States and Central Europe. Arnica is made from a whole fresh flowering plant.
Arnica is given to our patients at the pre-operative visit. The directions are easy to follow: Take five pellets of Arnica three times a day starting two days prior to surgery. Place the pellets under the tongue and let them dissolve. Please remember that your mouth should be clean before taking the pellets.
