Breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to lift and shape a woman's breasts. Age, pregnancy, and weight loss can cause breasts to sag. Incisions are made around the areola (nipple) and sometimes under the breast. Newer, minimal incision techniques reduce the scarring. Breast lifts are preformed as an outpatient procedure. The procedure takes from 1.5 to 2.5 hours to perform. It is possible for you to return to work after two or three days.
